Bunka School Fashion Show

Bunka fashion student plus one teacher for closing. Most of them are from advanced class, only me who's represented Basic class student , an honor! I'm so happy....:))

The way they make me laugh is the best support I've ever had during all the hectic process, my parents bring joy!

Mix match accessories the night before and take pictures of it just to see how the total look is going to be :D

From notion to action: part 2

Carry on my last story about Bunka fashion show at "From notion to action", here's the closure story...thank you for those who reading :))

H-4 second fitting with some bunka friends. and out of the blue i the fabric i bought today just doesn't work and decided to change the application on the dress because i found it less satisfied comparing to my sketch before. So i hand sew some fabric around the bust quite nervous at that time  >.< but pretty satisfied for the result

H-3 submission day, have to email some photos to the principal of Bunka. but the dress hasn't finish yet i still send the progressing one

H-2 I bring my 95% looks to my two principal and they compliment my dress and I'm beyond excited n happy!!! They brief me about what should I do next and what preparation should I prepare for Sunday. After that i add embroidery and application around the skirt for final touch.

In my happy moment i broadcast all of my friend through blackberry, invite them to come. And you know what, 3 hours later one of my friend texted me that the dress hasn't chosen yet. I said, yesterday was supposed to be submission day n today is the announcement rite so I consider their brief as pronouncement. Why o why... i tried to call several times to know the explanation, but they didn't answer , i was totally confuse at that time. OMG shame on me, i was numb a bit. What if? How if it turns out not to be chosen? My heart and head was so sure that I'm in, am i too confident, is there any misunderstanding, clearly i was think i'm in when i got early brief from them...i admit i cried over the minute...just a little cried...I pray but it was a hard time to sleep

H-1 I wake up with a big heart for the result. Sleep do help. I was waiting and finally got the final result in the afternoon. I see my name as number one being written on the list. I imagine God said to me and smiled "That's my girl" So this is why God let me through all of the hard confusing moment just to made me realize it's all done by His grace. because i kept over think what I should say if mine isn't chosen, what should I do, what should I tell, what I....and it will be all about I and myself will do...not me and my God. So, I'm really thankful I'm His daughter. His plan is never failed me :)

H-1 I went to Kota Kasablanca for my first time with my parents and see this :)

Today is H-3 before submission day and H-5 before the show. And this is my little story i want to share. It all started exactly one week ago. After my class, i usually chat with some of my friends and finally found out about this event at Kota Casablanca mall. There will be small fashion show held on Oct21 showcasing Bunka student collection. It's free and models are provided. But they only choose the best 20 looks to be on the show. Should i say 'wow gitu?'I'm excited yet my left brain keep telling me this is H-12 and I have to make min 2 looks? My oh my!

So here it goes...

H-12 : get the 'bomb' after the class, later that night i spend it at home to figure out about the theme and finally came up with 2 rough sketches

Rapih Dasi : God's favor for me

Have you ever feel and conceive yourself being in certain situation such as speaker or motivator? Not to mention a few, ten, fifty, hundreds perhaps? Share your life process about something let say your deepest dream. Your story. Achievement. Struggle. Ups and downs. And plans to get there. Till I wrote this, I still amazed of how I've been trusted to be one of speaker at Rapih Dasi (Raih Mimpi dan Prestasi) - college student event about DREAM at Papandayan Hotel last Saturday. Little explanation of what my dream is: I want to run my own business in fashion. Having one or two store someday. Design the collection. Throw a fashion show. I'm not there yet, but soon yah. Still as a speaker, this exceed my expectation and i believe it wasn't a coincidence...

I learned there is something in this life called God's favor. I feel like I don't deserved the position. Why me? I honestly didn't feel worthy to speak out in front of 300 students. But He guided every word I say.

God made me worthy :)

Carolina Herrera

1) I always love her signature column skirt, very chic isn't it? Even though yellow can be tricky for cheesy look, but I think Herera nailed this one out. Love!

Rodarte

  2) Somehow the quirky ish of Rodarte successfuly catch my eyes to always check their newest collection...This pants or legging pants is major! What i like about this style, it didn't make you look like a rock an roll singer or member of punk community instead embracing our power as woman. Power look!

Kate Spade x Garance Dore

On August 31 which is last week, me and Cindy Yuanita went to Plaza Senayan. A small gathering is being held (congrats Mba Deece Dewayani for managing it successfully) to introduce Kate Spade newest collection in collaboration with Garance Dore, a french blogger who love fashion and photography and currently dating Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist). And with their 'invasion' up until now and then,  they both really giving more vibe of how people seeing street style... For more info about her, click here. Show your pride in a stylish way

Happy Independence day Indonesia! My beloved country....even sometimes not too beloved, but still I'm proud to be Indonesian in the midst of all negative issues. As for me, even just throwing my garbage into the can, it show my love to them if I may say. Or simply wearing local product. We hardly can ask government to make all of the good things to us, but I believe we can start from ourselves :)

Anyway today i wear my Garuda ring (GARING). This concept came up when i participate in Fimela anniversary event #Read2share merchandise, people can shop online and donate in a same time. Shades of blue

Blue has been my first rank of color now! Other than black and white - I consider them as a color even its not / never be, but they "color"ing my life so far if I may excuse :) ...also because the Olympic games is well discussed this month, I just feel its spark when I wear blue *cring-cring*

Anyway i visited Vani planning to get my school work done. Result : it hasn't finish yet :p Today i also visited Pizza Rakyat to get my happy belly. Result : mission accomplished.

Here's my tips: If we want to grab attention, use contrast color to accessorize our look (go for yellow, orange, or fuchsia). For a nautical look, choose white because it will make our look fresh. Instead of silver, use gold to elegance our shades of blue to reach it richness.

Carry forward my story 2 days ago about greetings competition (Thank you Mom), finally the announcement came out today! *cheering myself* Fyi, waktu itu ternyata saya salah denger (pasti sinyal HP haha) , instead of 5 besar ternyata maksud orangnya itu saya masuk 25 besar. Cukup signifikan kalau hadiahnya pergi ke Bali.

Dan.....teng..teretet.......tet... I made it just to be their top ten finalist, yet I felt so GRATEFUL :) :) Across in my mind quote "Ability attract Ability", I attract the ability being in a big five finalist yesterday, and here I am. What is attract you these day? Keep positive and have faith, it might be something you will get later on

Oh about the quote... honestly my first thought would be googling some mother quotes and try to revamp. But I find it difficult to relate with my true feeling. I began to think what so unique habbit my mom has taught me. "Gak usah pakai gula ya ci!" I directly said to my self "wah, sesuatu...". Dan ternyata 'sesuatu' yang dari hati dan gak dibuat-buat benar-benar bisa memberi dampak bagi orang lain (at least bisa terpilih dari 718 peserta - really makes me feel good). Thanks Jesus, thanks beautiful Mom Herawaty Rudijanto and thanks buat 'sesuatu'

Back to the event , held at xxi lounge Plaza Senayan and start from 11am - 2pm. Actually there was some talk show before I came but I had Bunka class until 12 o'clock... As for the rest there were some singers like Popsel and Randy Martin (me and my boyfriend try googling who is this Randy and we ended up Joyful if you know what I mean). To cut long story short, i'll give you some picture to see...

Such a gloomy day when I woke up this morning, a timid sun over window and clouds wearing it's crown. The bed is calling me over and over again... But I decided to get up and greet the day (hello!)

And tonight I had a date with Cindy Yuanita, long time no see makin kurus dia :o stress kayaknya pindah lagi ke Jakarta  *peace* We're having our Pancious moment at Plaza Indonesia, doing convos about future and Bangkok perhaps? lol. But before that, we stop by to look "Fashion Blogger-Pop up store" @ 4th floor Main Atrium. Tomorrow is the last day anyway if you want to come... My eyes captured 'Less and More', well tailored and one of the owner I know is Heidy Kalalo by chance. She's nice and talented :)

As good as I read google maps and predict the traffic, peraturan lalu lintas jam 06.00 - 10.00 pagi memang kurang bersahabat (baru sadar setelah 2 taun di Jakarte, at least... hahaha). You just can't go somewhere without learning something lol

Heading to the second floor, it was pretty cozy and fortunately the class just started. Got a goody bag with bunch of stuff (pic). You know... part of this going back-to-school-time is meeting new people rite? Today I met Vanny 18y.o and Febby 19y.o - haven't got any chance catching up with others, but this is enough to wake me up. Later on, I got a call from Fimela team telling me that I'm in their top 5 finalist for the Greetings Competition. I was so excited! And directly bbm my mom explained about it. About two weeks ago, randomly i read tweet about the competition from @fimeladotcom and the next thing I know I submitted the quote (The requirement is about expressing your love and gratitude to your Mom - they'll pick 3 winner which will be flown to Bali). The event and winner announcement will be held this Sat at PS *finger cross saudara saudara*
